mid-autumn
ok, didnt do anything on the actual day coz wkday and mum n dad not feeling well so didnt go out as planned. h/r we did celebrate slightly earlier a few wks back @ clarke quay.
the whole gang in front of the under water world display
they had some lantern displays outside central so thot of bringing mum & dad to central for dinner then can just pop outside to look at the display. alas~ heavy downpour when it approached nite fall so by the time we got there, it was raining neko & inu (cats & dogs)...
chang-er
my bros n their gf tagged along so became a family gathering. dinner @ waraku again though i told them not veri nice but they were tricked by the display outside the restaurant ;p only consolation was that the restaurant had a nice view facing clarke quay opposite.
didnt have time to shop (also not much to shop except for jap snack shop in basement :P) pop outdoors to see the display. actually not many large scale displays, only 5 main ones, 3 outside central other 2 near the bridge but there were loads of pple there to take picz esp the tourist though it was raining on off. a few stalls but still felt not lively enough, thot they should extend the scale of the lantern displays and activities to liven up the mid-autumn spirit.
performance imported fr china
but did felt nice to just wonder ard aimlessly n take picz on a sunday evening with family :)... one wierd thing though, the performance started ard 10pm which was pretty late and they were blasting music so u can imagine if u were staying in the nearby hotels, u might actually hear it. so wierd rite? all the shops in central were already close and reminder, it was sunday nite so pple r rushing home to prepare for work/school the next day??
