updates... didnt realised how long i didn't update my blog till i saw the last blog entry ;p

vesak day 30/05/07

started work juz one mth got ph oredi, so happi. had a nice vesak day tis yr that is excluding the starving part in the nite coz couldn't find vegetarian fd at the new harry potter like foodcourt @ suntec. went there with dad to catch the bkfair n IT show. ended up having toast n went hm to cook pasta with wateva i could find at home ;p

woke up early to go to these four-faced buddha temple @ bedok area. pretty nice atmosphere plus architecture of the temple made one feel as if u r in thailand. actually there were a lot of thais who went there dat day. lotsa pple queued up to get blessings fr the monks there including us nn we actually queued twice coz there were 2 monks. actually had been there many yrs b4 but the whole place looked totally different n much bigger. hung round to take picz n found out they were serving delicious vegetarian bee hoon n samosa at the back which turned out to be our brunch.

later in the afternoon went to the bkfair as i always do every yr. saw my ex-colleagues fr the chinese bk division there. was so happy to find the taiwanese japanese language bk publisher there after missing them for a few years but didnt buy much bks even though they were really cheap coz i oredi had a bunch of them which i haven't touch yet ;p.. managed to get a couple of pocket sudoku bks which are normally quite ex elsewhere.

as for the pc show, onli went thru one round coz actually didnt have anything in mind to buy n dad couldnt tahan the crowd.

scream party 07 @ cafe del mar

went with rachel to cafe del mar for the mypaper scream party 07 which i won tickets for last fri. luckily we're dismissed early @ 5.30 so i had plenty of them to hv dinner @ vivo b4 going over to sentosa for the concert.

took the new sentosa express fr vivo there. price was ok $3 to n fro plus entrance. realised sentosa had changed quite alot since i last brought grandma there when she came over fr m'sia. the whole coastline n beach area changed beyond recognition that rachel n i swore to plan n go over there one day to explore.

we thot we were late when we reached ard 7.30 coz the ticks say it'll start @ 7 but were pretty surprised we were still amongst the early birds coz we got free beer voucher which we didn't use anyway. cafe del mar didnt turned out to be as nice as expected but tink it was coz of the concert that the whole atmosphere n layout of the place was changed so we didnt quite get to experience the "real" cafe del mar? managed to find a great seat b4 b4 the concert started at the back far from the crowd n spot lights but in front of a huge projector so that we could actually see everything. turned out pretty nice coz got to see gary chao ge, soda green n ah qing fr f.i.r perform. got to see soda green for the first time n the whole band was really good overall, came esp for them coz wanted to hear them sing "xiao qing ge" (little love song). gary was really charismatic as a performer in real life.

the concert ended kinda earlier than expected @ 10plus thus leaving us with plenty of time to get back to the mainland n catch the last few train hm b4 midnite.
