karen's wedding
day 1
after a hectic wkend of last min clearing work @ the old office til 9.30pm some more on sunday, didnt hv time to rest much coz had to participate in karen's wedding early on monday morning. when i mean early, itz like i hv to wake up at 5plus n leave the hse by 6plus in order to reach kallang at 7 as planned.
fresh food/fruits bought fr the market last min, chilli padi complementary of nice vege stall uncle who heard it was for a wedding ;p
to make things worse, it started pouring the moment i was leaving the hse. BUT luckily my bro had woken up for a drink n my mum asked him to give me a lift there instead. heng arh~~ but my new pink shoes were soaked n had to walk ard in semi wet shoes for the whole day :(
got there abit early so actually had time to sit down for porridge at the market right next to her block. two other sisters of karen fr her secondary sch were oredi there. karen was only halfway thru her hair n we didnt hv much to do except hang around. hadnt really planned much for the sabo coz nvr actually meet up with all the other sisters b4 the big day. onli communicated via email n they sorta agreed on a few things to do. h/r due to all kinds of consequences, many things didnt proceed as planned. one of the major reason was lack of time coz karen's aunt kept rushing us n she was also quite "protective" of the groom n refuse to let us feed him wierd stuff etc etc... tink we only had 15-20 min time to make him eat the "sour, sweet, bitter, spicy" stuff, use 10 dialect phrase to praise/describe karen n finally sing some songs outside her rm door. dats all, so disappointing rite...

finally.. anyways, were rushed out of the hse at 9am to proceed to the groom's hse where we spent an hr hanging ard hving some food while waiting for the relatives to arrive for the tea ceremony. hid in the master bedroom n bridal room most of the time to enjoy the aircon ;p

finally done with tea ceremony. bride: "yeah~~" groom: " siongz siah" was on our way to church by 12plus for another round of tea ceremony for karen's side of the family which was held in the church itself. h/r realised that we rushed too much in the morning n were way ahead of schedule, an hr to be exact b4 the actual ceremony began so sat ard to rot n take picz. luckily i had breakfast coz the church reception would onli start aft the wedding at 3plus.

the church ceremony wasnt veri draggy n was pretty lively, i.e. they had live church band singing, nice videos edited by her church friends etc. h/r was on the verge of falling asleep halfway thru while the pastor was speaking due to a serious lack of sleep, i.e. slept at 3am the day b4 coz was watching tv the nite b4 thus had bearly slept 2hrs ;p

march in 2 other jc friends were at the church wedding too so managed to catch up with them during the reception later. had abit of probz getting hm later coz the church was all the way at bukit timah n was in the middle of nowhere so had to share cab with the other sister to bugis mrt.
day 2
1st day of work at new office so had problem deciding wat to wear to karen's dinner later in the evening. quite "bored" at work coz they didnt want me to start actual work yet so asked me to memorise some "act & rules". fell asleep a couple of time coz tired fr wkend of no rest n horrid rainy day ;p

managed to tahan till 6. luckily everyone left really on the dot so managed to reach the hotel ard 6.30. went up to her hotel room to find it oredi crowded with pple n the bride all made up n dressed up n being hyper as ever, she was ready to go downstairs to greet her guest at ard 7 as usual, help her lug her stuff ard, n help to take some picz with her guest coz we cant really seem to find the photographer. mingled ard abit n caught up with other jc friends b4 dinner finally started ard 8.30.

helped karen with her gown with another sis after the 2nd dish. spent quite alot of time upstairs coz 1stly, both her wedding n dinner gown had more than 20 buttons in place of zips, 2ndly the bride kept wanting to go toilet, 3rdly, both bride n groom not really feeling well, groom had gastric so had to eat some food n take gastric pills while the bride had tummy ache n needed some pills juz in case...

dinner dragged all the way till 11plus so by the time we got hm, it was oredi 12plus. hence not enough sleep again means falling asleep during work the next day as well :P

they hv tis huge map of singapore where u can actually find the block u stay in! (found my block!)
btw, think theres something wrong with the blog coz cant customise wordings etc....
