must be that mr tang, last time keep calling me "jinxed" in jc (i.e. supposed to sound like my dialect name when u read it really fast ;p), now really jinxed liao. bombing in bangkok on new year's eve! me supposed to go next wkend. anyway me plan to go ahead coz 1stly, hotel non refundable, 2ndly, hv to pay air ticks px diff if postponed, 3rdly, we'll nvr actually know when it will b truly safe to go bkk even if we postpone coz itz not politically safe there yet. lastly, like most instances, according to accounts of singaporean who juz came back and from past experiences of me n my bro (i went there amidst last yr's anti-thaksin rallies and demonstations in march while my bro was there when the bloodless coup happened) the situation is rather peaceful over there and you can still find troops of tourists everywhere.
tink juz need to be more "aware" of our surroundings n dun wander ard too late at most. btw, they found a bomb in asia hotel also but it didnt go off. initially tried to book my hotel stay there but was fully booked so got another hotel instead :P
