budget terminal 200806
went to sent bro n jo off for a 1wk trip to krabi/bangkok at the new budget terminal. the terminal was really basic n there was onli 1 restaurant, hans in the arrival/departure hall n no other shops, not even a mama shop/bookstore... all the other shops were inside the check in area...thot that the airport was highly under utilised n am not sure whether they could actually keep airport fees low for the budget airline at the rate it is going...

friday nite # raffles mrt
was on half day on fri to run "errands" n pop by to see company doc at raffles...was on my way hm when i noticed they were hving free public performances by groups at the open area in front of raffles mrt... seems that they were hving a series of such performances for a few fri nites... straw mats were placed on the grass patches for pple to sit n little clappers were given out to the audience... there were salsa performances by a dance sch, singing by a new local female singer n a play by another group which i didnt stay on to look...

went for dinner with parents at changi hawker centre. haven gone there in a while n was really surprised how pack it was... ate lotsa stuff which i was not supposed to like, chicken chop, chilli bbq sting ray, fried oyster egg, cold sugar cane drink ;p... went for a walk at the new ferry terminal, regret not bringing my camera along to take pics... they had tis new pathway that stretches along the coastline but we didnt venture too far coz dad cant really walk too far... thot of bringing pups along for a run next time coz there werent much pple...
went off to loyang tua pek kong temple to pray.. seems that they were preparing for celebrations of an indian god the next day so the place for decorated up abit. they even had 2 full size banana trees which had a bunch of bananas each cut up n tied to the temple. some pics i took with my handphone...
